Thank you all for joining. We're getting closer to our 100 members we need to move into some of the better tiers that let us do more things on the page. Ultimately, we want to create a place away from Facebook because frankly none of us know what's going to happen with the DOJ's anti-trust probe now and Zuckerberg banning a lot of folks over silly stuff.
Writing is our business and being able to communicate with our readers is important, we can't allow that to get interrupted over politics. We all like to read, we all want escapism, we are friends and people. I just want a place for us to not have to worry about being banned because you disagree with someone. Disagreements are fine, its those differences that make us better people and help us find common ground and a better understanding of what's going on.
Let's map this out a little bit.
If Nord Stream 2 goes live, and Russia invades Ukraine, what comes next? If Poland mobilizes to support Ukraine, does Belarus attack Poland to bog them down on a separate front? If Belarus attacks polish forces in Ukraine it shouldn't trigger NATO Article 5, but would the Baltic States come to Poland's defense? Does all of this keep Poland out of the fight, knowing that they can sit at home protected by Article 5?
I've been bird-dogging the Belarus / Polish border ever since the annexation of Crimea, so this has been fascinating to watch this play out (which sounds horrible to say). Anyhow, here are a couple of interesting videos on the topic:
